Hi, I am Lynette a private law tutor in Nottingham.

If you are looking for Law tuition, I will help to enhance grades by tailoring a personalised learning experience to target specific needs. I am qualified in Law to a Legal Practice Course level and possess the depth and breadth of understanding of this subject area from both academic study and working within the legal sector.

I also have three years of experience of working within the further education sector teaching Key Skills qualifications to adult learners as a qualified trainer.

I understand how important it is to deliver high quality booster sessions to rapidly increase your legal understanding and develop a legal approach to ensure exam success. I aim to provide the specialist help you need to deepen your understanding, from the simplest legal concepts to the most complex ones. This ultimately ensures not only academic but also professional success.

Tuition is available face-to-face or online via Skype for all ages and abilities. Whether you are studying law as part of a curriculum, on an access course to law, at degree level or on the Legal Practice Course, I have the qualifications and experience to deliver the specialised help you need to succeed.

Approach

I offer an initial consultation where I will sit with students to discuss what they aim to achieve out of the sessions and how we can go about reaching these goals. I have a patient and flexible approach that ensures students’ needs are addressed at all times throughout their tuition.

Within sessions I will cover course material and work through model answers to identify strengths and weaknesses to enable students to achieve exam success.

I can help students to create and structure, their own model answers and assist at every level from coursework, dissertations through to preparing for exam questions.

Experience: I am a trained lawyer based in West Bridgford, Nottingham. I gained a Bachelor of Laws from the University of York and attained the Legal Practice Course with commendation at the University of Law. I also hold a Certificate of Higher Education in Legal Method at distinction level from the University of London.

I have over three years of experience training adults in Key Skills qualifications across a range of sectors in the further education sector, as a qualified PTTLS trainer. I have also worked for Government bodies such as the Learning and Skills Council. Within these roles I have worked with a wide range of abilities to instil confidence and enthusiasm for learning as well as assisting individuals to build on their understanding of the subject matter at hand.

I work professionally within private practice at a large law firm in Nottingham, making me an excellent choice to tutor law.
