I am a qualified English tutor with 30 years professional teaching experience. I help pupils improve their examination grades at all levels.

My methods develop confidence in pupils. This enables them to achieve their potential and thrive.

I challenge the most able, drawing on my experience of 20 years` teaching at Dr. Challoner`s High School.

Furthermore, I have enabled many pupils who struggle with English to gain greater proficiency and find enthusiasm. This includes those with special needs who need expert and patient care. I am meticulous in encouraging proof reading and work to develop thorough planning skills.

I have extensive knowledge of all G.C.S.E. syllabi. I have taught most A level set texts. I develop pupils` analytical skills and assist them with practice questions.

My approach is pupil focused. I assess their needs and tailor lessons accordingly,discussing the plan with you and your child.

I have a room where parents can wait.
