I am Bal, I have a Bsc(Hons)(2.1) in Computing Science and a Masters in Education. I am a qualified teacher of Computing, ICT & Maths. I am very enthusiastic about teaching and ensuring all my students succeed no matter what their ability. I have taught in various secondary school for the past 15 years (fully CRB checked).

I have extensive experience of private tuition for the following subjects: Computing, Maths, Science, Biology, 11 Plus and Information Communication Technology (ICT)

Experience obtained in teaching young people from a primary, secondary and college level. Experience has also been gained in adult education.

Experience: I started teaching in 2005. Since then I have taught many students from different backgrounds with different abilities and taught at different levels (up to undergraduate level, for many examination boards, AQA, EDEXEL,OCR, WJEC, IGCSE, including home schooling students.) I have so far given my best to my students to reach their academic goals. I hope to do the same in the future.

I possess much experience in private home tuition in which my students have succeeded and exceeded in achieving their school based target grades. Subjects taught for private tuition include: Science, Biology, 11 Plus, ICT, Computing and Maths.

I have taught a number of Computing as well as ICT related qualifications in a large secondary school to students in the age range of 11-19. I am fully competent at teaching and delivering the following qualifications: GCSE Computer Science (Exam Boards AQA and OCR), A-Level Computer Science, Key Stage 3 ICT, GCSE ICT, A-Level Applied ICT, GCSE Short Course, GCSE Full Course and OCR National Level 2.

I have much skills and knowledge of the following software having taught them in the specified qualifications: Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Flash, All Microsoft Office software.

I currently teach Computing (including Python Programming) to A-level, GCSE and KS3 students in a London based school.

I believe each student is unique and as a tutor I respect that uniqueness. My first step towards a new student would be to understand his/her uniqueness in order to determine their strengths and weaknesses in order to strengthen their current knowledge. I use different styles of teaching methods, depending on the student`s ability. My main method is a student first method whereby I would listen to the difficulties experienced by the student for a particular subject in order to put solutions in place. Additionally, I look at the current progress the student in making in school and teach around the school syllabus in order for them to achieve their best. From my teaching and tutoring experience, I have determined that one of the main reasons why students achieve lower grades is due to:
Lack of Knowledge and Understanding in fundamentals
Lack of right practice ( Including Exam practice),
Lack of time management skills in exam situations
Lack of knowledge and practice to recognize the keywords/key sentences in exam questions
Lack of proper Writing Skills.
