I enjoy teaching English and Maths. Also, I thoroughly enjoy preparing students for their 11+ exams.

English (primary education):
I cover English grammar, punctuation and spelling. I strictly follow the National Curriculum. Many teenagers and adults do not have strong foundations in these areas beacuse their problems in understanding were not sorted out at a primary level. In my opinion, if the basics of English are understood well then the English subject becomes more interesting. Understanding the basics well, will help one to prepare for and make easier the life long learning of English- after all no one knows every word in the English dictionary. If you feel you want a thorough understanding of the basics of English then you have definitely come to the right place.

Maths (primary education):
I teach the Maths subject well. I have achieved a grade A in G.C.S.E. Maths and have an A Level in Maths.

11+ exams:
I have experience in preparing students for the 11+ exams. I am up to date with the changes that have taken place in these tests recently. I can prepare students for both the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire 11+ exams.

Approach to tutoring:
I aim to teach the student what he/she requires and then I set them small tasks to complete after each lesson to check if the student has fully learnt what has been taught to them by me.

Availability: Due to high demand currently, this is all that I have left:

Tuesdays, Fridays or Sundays at 5.30 p.m. at my house.

Sundays at 5.30 p.m. only, I can come to your home.

Experience: I have experience working with children. I worked voluntarily at a local primary school for a year, where I helped year 5 and year 6 students understand their classroom work. In my spare time, I have helped my friends` siblings (young and adult learners) with English, Maths and 11+ exam preparation.
