Sage Line 50 - Introduction 1

Business needs to keep proper and accurate accounting records, this is mandatory and it is required by International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS).

Most accounting records are now computerised. For the purpose of this class we shall be using Sage Line 50.

Double click Sage line 50 from your system

. A massage appears - Welcome to Sage line 50 . Please enter your logon name and your pass word . Click on logon on and enter manager . Click Ok and Menu window appears.

From this Window - Series of Menu appear, Let us take a minute to examine them individually. Having done that, we will now start by creating pass word to prevent unauthorised access on to our system.

In accordance with the Data Protection Acts 1998 that requires a company to protect the confidential information of the company and that of their clients most importantly. It is therefore necessary to create pass word to prevent access to company`s accounting system.

To create a pass word.

. Click Settings . Click change pass word . Type in Rita in new pass word and confirm.
