Information about Emma
I am a trained primary school teacher who is
passionate about supporting children with their learning in all subjects and particularly in English, reading and maths.
I am positive, open and approachable and enjoy planning lessons around the interests and the needs of the individual student.
I have been teaching children in primary schools for the last two years, supporting children with a variety of different needs across all curriculum subjects. I have taught children on the autistic spectrum, with ADHD and with different learning abilities and seen good progress made in my students.
I have six months of tutoring experience, and have received good feedback from the parents and the students I have tutored.
Before this, I taught English as s second language to foreign students, supporting adults and young people with their speaking, listening and reading skills.
When I meet a student, it is very important that I not only assess their level but also get to know their interests so that I can then tailor lessons according to these, to make their learning enjoyable.
After each lesson I provide a breakdown for my students` parents, to explain what the child has learned in that lesson and what we will be doing the following week. I can also provide homework if required.
Every child deserves to have a quality education and it is my will to ensure that they receive good tuition that they find engaging and enjoyable at an reasonable price.
I look forward to supporting your child with their learning!
